I'm 2/3 into 1st season now, and they still follow this line of having women sexy without being undressed, feminine without being weak, clever and kick-ass and diverse. I've never seen so many usual, over 30 and over 40, not-conventionally-pretty women in US TV series! And they are even important characters! Yay!
I think she started by thing for buttoned up FBI/Cop ladies, who don't need to flaunt themselves to be incredibly sexy. Yup. Though in the modern series, those ladies are usually thin :( They are beautyful, but I would like to see more diversity in the looks. Speaking of which, I used to base my style on Scully's when I was 15-17, because I had the same body type and she was the only visible woman who wasn't either thin of from a different era.
